it is the holidays, or is it.
the one good thing about holidays is that i get to wake up later than 5:15.went to school for chinese and math today, for the next 2 weeks.
was eating dinner when i saw the advert on channel news asia regarding one of their programmes, which posed a question of whether people having cancer ought to be told they are going to die. yes, i know, we all have to die anyway, its just a matter of time before all of us end up kicking buckets. but it is what we do with these lives that is important. would you rather life go on and on like 'days of our lives', a long drawn out affair, or would you rather have life that goes off with a bang, brief but explosive. we all have a right to know when we are about to die, though for most of us that is impossible to know for sure. with so many moving accidents around us nowadays, who knows when will it be our turn. it is so much better to know when we actually die, rather than just going about our lives choosing to ignore it, avoiding it till it is too late for regrets. regrets for things not done as well as for those done but unchangable. how nice it would be if we all knew when to die, so that hopefully we might plan towards it, and live life to its fullest, instead of slaving away and then dying without having enjoyed abit more of life.
the truth hurts, but would you rather live to infinity while those you know and cherish die around you?
