better not to have put up the flag, with silent protest as a reason, than because we are bochap.
it pains the heart, that we see not what national identity truly is.
i did feel a tinge of sadness at east coast yesterday when i looked at the HDB flats at marine parade, naked without the flags that don it once a year in this month. was it an elusive dream then, when i drew a HDB flat, with every unit displaying a flag, all those years ago in primary school?
